What you are looking at
A sale moves through the program in the same order it moves through your barn. Here is that order, using the real module names.
At the door and in the office
Check-In and the Office
Check-In is where a sale starts. You add, edit or pick a seller from the master address list, put a lien on a seller any time that seller's record is up, and check livestock in by slip or tag, single tags or group tags. Trucking, vet, feed and other charges go on at the same screen.
The Office handles the usual work and the harder work: hauling, commission, vet charges, writing checks and printing invoices. Buyer invoices can go out by email through Microsoft Outlook, and you can look back at sales all the way to the day you started on the system.
In the ring
Ring Clerking, Video Capture, Penning and the Auctioneer Screen
Clerking is fast and accuracy is everything, so every Ring Clerking function works from the keyboard alone, and weighing is one key. A split screen lets the clerk keep working ahead while the auctioneer finishes the previous group.
Video Capture records audio and video for each transaction, and a right-click in the scale ticket plays the clip from any computer running the office program. Penning puts the pen on the screen as animals leave the ring, and the Auctioneer Screen shows the TV what is selling and what just sold.

Custodial Balancing and Reports
Custodial Balancing reconciles your checks against the bank statement, tracks accounts receivable and prints the uncleared checks list, so the books close with the sale.
The Reports program holds over 50 reports, including market reports, seller and buyer history, and the Beef Council and Pork Checkoff reports. If your barn needs one that is not there, custom reports can be built to fit.
